I met Sharin in Los Angeles through a mutual friend and asked if I could take her portrait. I arrived at her home on a day suspended between chapters. She was packing, preparing to move back to Denmark, surrounded by boxes and unfinished thoughts. There was a slight stress in the air, but also a quiet determination.
I placed her in her garden among the cacti. The sharp, resilient plants became a natural extension of her state of mind. Strong, grounded, and capable of surviving transition. The portrait reflects a moment of vulnerability balanced by strength, a woman standing firmly while everything around her was shifting.
