I was sitting in a Copenhagen café with both of my daughters when Sebastian Bull walked in. I had seen him before in the area and noticed his distinctive face and strong presence. My daughters encouraged me to approach him and get in contact.
At first, he can come across as a bit rough, but I went up to him and told him I would love to take his portrait, if he was interested. He became genuinely excited, and as we worked together, he turned out to be incredibly sweet and kind. He truly gave himself to our collaboration in front of the camera, and through my lens I got to see his gentle nature.
He later went on to become a prominent Danish actor.
The picture of Sebastian with cat eyes, tulle, tattoos, and scars is to be found in my book and was also part of my 2019 exhibition Behind the Eye, which revolved around the theme of men’s feminine energy.
