I met Jørgen and was immediately fascinated by him. At the time, he was working at a gay bar on Blågårdsgade - Copenhagen. It was my friend Linda who insisted that I photograph him. She styled him, and I took the pictures.
Through this collaboration, I was able to fulfill a long held dream of dressing someone as a classic Las Vegas showgirl. The portrait reflects Jørgen’s personality with honesty and joy. He is endlessly inspiring, a person of many talents and a strong advocate for sexuality. I wanted to capture his balance between the masculine and the feminine, and the freedom with which he moves between the two.
